PR Connections #9

I found a kind of silly and cute cartoon which puts in the most simple terms how PR, Marketing, Branding, and Advertising are vary from each other. I was pretty amused by it so I thought I would share!

  1. I like this cartoon, it is a creative and simple way to differentiate between marketing, PR, advertising, and branding. I can see how other people can sometimes confuse all three because they are similar but, it is important to know that they are not all alike. My favorite is the Advertising cartoon, it uses a jingle as a means to promote a product and can be seen being used constantly in commercials and other forms of advertising. It also shows that in Public Relations, trust between two people is important and it stresses that a mutually beneficial relationship is essential.

  3. I think this is very cool also. It looks kind of silly at first but once you read the captions and think about it you can see where it complete makes sense. Public Relations has so many part and I think this carton hits on some of the more important ones. How is PR, as word of mouth is awesome, the advertisement, how it repeats the same thing over and over. This is basically why they make jingles, or repetitive commercials. Finally, branding the fact she know he’s a great lover and says it, is exactly what we want our potential customers to think. (with the particular product)
